Before you speak, please listen. Before you read me with your eyes, please know who you are viewing. Before you say you know who I am, try spending some time getting to know me. If you seen me yesterday and I looked a messed because my hair was unkempt and my clothes looked disarrayed, what is your view of me? Did you know it was just last week I was in a suit with matching socks and fancy shoes; does that change your point of view? Maybe there was a time I ran into you intoxicated trying to self-medicate because of the trauma I have endured over the years has left me devastated, what do you think? You may have also seen me in church last Sunday worshipping and praising God, does this image falter from your personal beliefs. On any given day I can demonstrate an array of emotions and actions that will provide you with limited information to make an accurate assessment, about who I am. Now your piecing together a moment from here and there, assuming that you know my whole story. You have no clue about the things that I have been through, you have only witnessed remnants of my history as I am transforming into someone new.
