Your life is exactly that "Your's". We all go through unforseen and unfortunate circumstances that are not a product of our own actions. However, most often we have the ability to be proactive in our lives yielding the results we want to achieve or receive. That's why it puzzles me when people place blame on others when they are not content with their present circumstances. Do they ever examine their own actions or steps they took to get there? I know whenever I face problems in my own life, once the crisis is over, I do a self inventory. What steps lead me down this path? Could I have done things differently to avoid the issue at hand? Who am I allowing to be around me, are they a positive or negative influence in my life (or are we headed in the same direction)? How does my attitude, actions, and behaviors affect other people? Why did I do things this way, what is it that I truly want? Am I ever going to get what I desire by going about it this way? How should I address the issue? What steps do I need to take to get to where I want to be? What is success to me? Am I living out my purpose in life? What brings me peace? How can I help others?
A lot of questions, but very important to ask yourself, before placing blame or allowing other people or circumstances to control your life. It's your life "Own It!"
